Unfortunately I had some boat damage from a wind storm in Southern New Jersey a few weeks ago and I called the BoatUS Insurance 800-number to get claims information. I received a call very swiftly from service rep Jim Vinci. What a great experience that was. In a world where people are so short and rude, Mr Vinci was a master at making me feel like I was being helped. He answered every question I had very courteously, he was very informative, and after we hung up he even called my voice-mail to provide additional information because I did not have a pen and pencil.

Filing an insurance claim is never pleasurable, but BoatUS made the whole process as painless as possible. From the initial contact to the salvage operation and the paper work that followed, the guidance I received could not have been clearer and I felt I was kept informed at every step of the process. I would rather the storm didn't happen and I still had my boat, but the resolution by Boat US made up for a lot of the loss. Thanks to BoatUS for being there behind all of us boaters.

We were quite new to sailboat ownership several years ago and when searching for insurance, our sailing instructor recommended that we go with BoatU.S. for what he felt was a superior level of service and commitment to the boating community. He was right. Please accept our thanks for the level of service we received from BoatU.S. during our recent claim. We feel that such professionalism needs to be commended when often dealing with a lackluster workforce with a less than helpful attitude.

I have had a Boat Insurance Policy with your company for many years. When my Brother bought his Jet Skis, I did all the leg work to get him insured through your company as well. Anytime in the past I have had to call your company for any reason, it has always been a very positive experience.
Late yesterday, we discovered that my boyfriend's boat insurance had lapsed. He showed me a copy of his policy and the premium seemed excessive to me. We've been members for some time now, and thankfully, have not had to place a claim; even living with the remnants of Gustav, Hugo and then Ike.
This is to just say "Thank you" for your post-Hurricane letter of September 22, and letting us know that you are there for us and the less fortunate ones. I'll keep that letter in our files, as a reminder of what to do should a need arise. No wonder members speak highly of your organization.

I don’t normally do this, however, my recent experience with BoatUS insurance warrants a few words of appreciation. Like many, we lost our vessel, “Moon Dancer”, to the wrath of hurricane IKE on September 13th, 2008. It was a tough blow for me and my wife as “Moon Dancer” had always been one of my favorite, precious ladies.
